چکیده

Most countries are facing problems of environmental pollution due to toxic organic pollutants being discharged into the environment from various man-made sources. Heterogeneous photocatalysis is a possible solution for mentioned problem, and it has been widely applied removal aqueous solutions, thanks its high efficiency friendliness. Among commonly used metal oxides, ZnO attracted researchers’ interests ecofriendly nontoxic nature. In this work, nanoparticles (ZnO-NPs) were prepared by precipitation method water (w) ethanol solutions corresponding precursors (zinc–acetate dihydrate, A_ZnO, zinc–nitrate hexahydrate, N_ZnO) followed calcination at different temperatures. The structure morphology catalysts characterized techniques (XRD, BET, SEM). Based on XRD results, can be seen that synthesized NPs possess purity. Furthermore, higher temperature, crystal size was observed, which more intense in case precursors. BET analysis showed macropores surface also indicated increased temperature led decreased area. Finally, SEM images precursor solution, an irregular, rod-like shape observed. photocatalytic properties newly ZnO-NPs exposed simulated sunlight examined during pesticide clomazone (CLO) antidepressant drug amitriptyline (AMI). zinc–acetate dihydrate calcined 500 °C (A_ZnOw_500) highest performance under sunlight. activity A_ZnOw_500 N_ZnOw_500 three water—two pesticides (sulcotrione (SUL) CLO) one pharmaceutical (AMI)—was compared. Results observed presence all investigated systems. effect initial pH examined. It found CLO SUL, there no influence pH, while AMI kapp slightly range ~7 ~10.
